Stereo ?

Stereo ?
I am replacing the ( in my opinion crappy) factory stereo with an aftermarket one. My boxster has the premium sound with the amp in the front, and the door subs. Is it better to use the factory amp, or better to completely wire around it and use the head unit to power the dash speakers? I am comfortable doing it either way, but if the factory amp provides a decent sound with an aftermarket headunit, it would be easier (don't have to tear the dash speakers apart) I'll do it that way. I assume you pretty much have to use the factory amp for the subs since the headunit will not have a powered sub line, just pre-outs.
the head unit I am putting in is a Kenwood Excelon reciever, seems to be a pretty decent one my the reviews
- what is the watts of the factory amp? the Kenwood is at 50 per channel.
I really bought the Kenwood receiver because it hides the face when car turns off, and I thought that was pretty cool... and the becker unit sucks. That too.
What do you think? Any Advice?

porbably. you want one? it's the becker cd player one. Not sure the exact model, I can look. I wanna say it's 220? I'll look. I have the code card for it also, and the owners manual to the stereo (not sure why Porsche felt it necessary)
what's it worth to you?
