Default Boxster side vents

One of the side vents on my '03 Boxster is not completely seated correctly (a detailer removed it and reinstalled it but not correctly) Can anyone tell me if there is a certain procedure that has to be followed to correctly reinstall these? Are there any "tricks" to make it easier to get back on correctly?

Are you sure? One side does stick out further than the other.

The one with the real air intake should stand proud of the side, this is to keep rain water from going into the air intake when the car is moving forward on a wet day.

The other one is basically decoration so it can sit more into the car.

That's a great looking car. Is that something other than Speed Yellow? Kind of a mustardy color. I even like it with the hard top - which for me is rare.

It is the Driver's side that appears to sit out....normal then? Never noticed it before, but I only had it a week, and only had it out a couple of times.

Completely normal. It's one of the contributors to the great sounds you hear with the top down and the throttle to the floor.

Yes it's Speedgelb (= Speed Yellow), I too like the look of the car so much with the hardtop I'm beginning to think I should get a Boxster coupe.
