Default 2000 Boxster S interior colours

I want a 2000 Porsche Boxster S. Red or Yellow, but ONLY with tan interior. Was that available in 2000? If not, when did they start this interior option clour combo?

Savanna Beige was the tan that was available in 2000. I have seen it with Guards Red, but never Speed Yellow. Speed Yellow with Savanna Beige would be kind of a funky combination IMHO. There was also a Natural Brown, but that is rare since it was a very expensive special color option.

I have a 2000 S and its well known that a red interior is an extra 10 horse power.

Yellow with a brown(not tan!) interior would be attractive IF you had a brown top. That was not an option. My 2000 S was speed yellow with black. Yellow with a black top (only choice) and a tan interior would be a very poor choice. Red with tan is a classic combo which always looks nice. Remember that unless you buy the full leather interior, parts of it will still be black. That was my reason for Yellow black. One another note, 2000 was the first year for the better interior materials - I bought full leather which was a waste of money because the std interior was virtually the same except for the aroma.

best,

call me crazy but I'm of the opposing mind set that believes sportscars should not have tan interiors unless they are from Italy. Red and Tan Ferrari 355? Very nice. Red and Tan M3? seems weird.
..and (also goes without saying) wood has no place in a sports car made in the present era. That walnut trim stuff? that is for the Merc or Bimmer. Although I saw a merlot colored Boxster once with tan interior and wood on steering wheel and dash that looked very tasteful. I dunno I just don't believe in fancy interiors on sports cars. Too much chrome and shiny stuff makes it seem like there's no effort to reduce weight which adds to the belief that Porsches are too darn hevy.

Carbon Fiber I guess is cool because its lighter and stronger but how often do you see REAL cf in an interior?

p.s. anything black inside or outside is a PITA to keep clean. Sportscars should be clean, a very German mindset.

here's a tolaly unrelated picture of an already moded Boxster errrr CaymanS

I have Arctic Silver and Metropol Blue. IMHO, the blue interior and top give the silver car an extra crisp look that the black interior does not do. But, you asked about red/tan. I have seen and driven this combo in an S. It was VERY nice. My favorite, though I have to admit, is that candy apple red metallic (I don't know the exact Porsche name for the color - reminds me of USC red - and I went the UC) with the tan interior.

But, back to your question about interiors, I have the full leather interior. Again, IMHO, it adds a HUGE quality feel to the car, eliminating all those plastic surfaces. It is rare to find though. The quick way to tell is if there is a seam with stitching running along the ridge that flows backwards from the inside door handle.

Good luck.

Very informative guys. Thanx alot.

So, Red + Tan = Yes
And, Yellow + Black = Yes
And, Yellow + Brown = Yes
And, Yellow + Tan = No.

Is that right?
