996er asking for a little help. Friend on my hockey team thinking of getting a boxster but wants to make sure his ice hockey gear will fit in trunck. Anybody know? FWIW It fits in my 996's trunk.

If it fits in the front 996 trunk it will fit in the Boxster's also. If he's a goalie, he can put one pad in the back trunk and one in the passenger seat. And if he's Ranger fan he will win the game and pick up chicks. Sorry, I just had to say that. I have a lot of island friends but I go back to Rod Gilbert and Red Berenson hitting the post. I'm sure you understand.

It depends on how much gear he has in the bag. He may have to remove the spare tire. The stick will obviously go inside the car.

It will definately fit in the front trunk, he will probaly have to pull out his pants or shin guards depending on size. I've had no problems so far.

Wow - you guys must use smaller hockey bags than the hockey players I know. There is no way my buddies bags could fit in my trunk...front or rear.
Heck...my large Addidas soccer bag barely fits in there.

I know with my 996 its a tight fit have to squash the equipment down and turn the bag on end, but I get it in shin pads pants and all. Is the boxster front trunk roughly the same size as the 996? Let's Go Rangers!!

I believe it is but am not totally sure. But I wouldn't hesitate a minute to haul all the gear down to a dealer to throw it in and see for myself.
