Default Aftermarket hardtops for the new boxster?

Looking through the Dec 05 issue of GT Purely Porsche magazine, there's some photos of a hardtop for the new Boxster that makes it look like the Cayman S when installed (pages 9 and 69). The photos look stunning. You get Cayman looks with the versatility of having an open top when you want to. D. Moris Equipments, the company that makes the hardtops is based in France. I can't find any information on the web about them. Some questions for this forum:

- Has anyone seen/heard of this company or know if they have a US distributor?

- Does anyone have addtional pictures of what their Cayman-style hardtop looks like?

- Does anyone know of other companies that are going to introduce Cayman style hardtops for the new Boxster?

I hated the clumsy, unbalanced look of Porsche's last-gen Boxster hardtop. If D. Moris Equipments' Cayman style hardtop is for real, it might make me seriously consider a Boxster as the next car in my garage. Thanks all.

Is this the one? http://www.zeintec.com/
One of the pages has an inquiry form. Maybe a Dorki will become a distributor and give us good deals!

Thanks for finding the link, Mick. The one I was looking at is very similar, but made by a different company. The D. Moris hardtop doesn't have the "tail" that extends over the trunk. I appreciate the information. I'll have to do some more research.

D. Moris is a French company and they have specialised in hardtops and various polyester body bits for a number of years. I read a recent article on them in one of the French Porsche mags (Flat 6 I think) and they are apparently very good with their hardtops being made to very high standards.

I'd be happy to try and get more information from them if you need it. Alternatively, here are their full contact details:

Don't know if they speak English or not...

Elsiesvg,
If you could help us non-French speaking folks, we'd appreciate it. Your english appears to be much better than my French. Mein Deutsch ist auch schlecht.

That hardtop is very Caymanesque. In fact, I believe it requires removal of the rear trunk to be mounted on the 987.

Anyone have a price for the Cayman style Hardtop. I was supposed to find out from a shop but I can't wait. I love how it looks. It would transform my 987S into a 987 Cayman S.....
