Exclamation CDR-220 CD Player Locks Up

The CD player in my CDR-220 locks-up shortly after playing a CD. I can insert a CD and it plays, but witin a 2 or 3 minutes, all CDR-220 controls fail to respond. No volume, no track changing, no eject, no power off - nothing! The only way I can turn the unit off is to pull the radio fuse in the footwell fuse panel. When I reinsert the fuse everyting works fine until I insert a CD and the unit locks up again. The radio portion (all bands) functions just fine without any problems. The lock-up only happens when I play a CD. Any suggestions?

I found what was wrong. The strip of electrical contacts on the inside of the flip down faceplate had minor surface corrosion. Enough apparently to prevent a clean connection to the spring contacts in the body of the radio when the faceplate is in the closed position. A light rubbing with a pencil eraser cleaned them up and it's working fine now.
