shift boot
Is the shift boot on the '97 boxster leather or vinyl? Mine is showing some wear and is going to be replaced soon. What are the options avail.?
I've seen the AGLA leather boots and they are priced about the same as the factory part. Of course, I'd prefer leather at the same price. Is there any difference in the install procedure to make a difference in the choice between factory or aftermarket?
thanks

Even with the optional "special" full leather, the shift boot is vinyl on my '97.

Opps, my mistake, I just checked my original boot is in fact vinyl. The **** portion seems to be leather but its difficult to tell.
As for options the 5 speed shifter boots pop up on ebay every now and then. I found a Tequipment carbon fiber/ leather 5 speed from Brandywine on Ebay and I paid about $85, which was a good deal at the time.
