Hello,
My name is Chris and I am actually from the 944 side, but I have a friend who has a boxster and the plastic mesh screen insert in the head rest blew out on the freeway and is gone. He has tried to find somewhere to buy a replacement, but even the wrecking yards want to sell him the whole seat. All he needs is the screen and he can re-attach it himself. If anyone over here knows of a place to buy, or are selling one, please pm me. I kind of braged about how great the Rennlist is and now I kind of have to find the answer for him or eat crow.

Try Sunset Porsche. He may have to buy the pair, but they'll sell it at about 1/2 what most dealers sell for (unless he's in Oregon too).

He said Sunset wanted him to buy the whole head rest. All he needs is the screen. Can this be purchased separately?

Perhaps there is some kind of miscommunication. There is no plastic screen in the headrest or seats at all. They fit into the roll hoops. You might try looking for a pair (or one) over on the Boxster Racing Board.
