Does anyone know if there is a way to determine which engine is in a car by looking at either the part number or serial number? If so, can you provide a list of the part numbers or serial number ranges?
I want to be able to determine if a '97 has swapped their 2.5 for an '03 2.7? I know it doesn't seem logical to want to do something like this. I am doing research for a 986 Spec class in POC and if the rules do not prohibit, and/or there is not way to police such a thing someone will do it.
