Well it finally happened, my luck ran out today and it came in three's, my girlfriend got ill, one of my boxsters horns stopped working and then the top cable failed.

To cut a long story short my top is up and I haven't broken or bent anything, my question is how the heck do I manually lower the top now to fix it??

I tried another forum and then told me to look in the manual, but it just seems to talk about raising the top if its stuck down, not lowering it manually.

I need to fix the top ASAP so I can do the oil separator and drive across the USA in a few weeks

I fixed it without even dropping it, I crawled inside and got to the motor and then cut down to stretched cable.....bingo! it works now!
