locked my car (97 boxster) manually with the key today. the remote receiver in the car has been toast for a while now, so i can't lock/unlock that way. anyway, when i locked the door, i felt the tumblers give way. so now there is no resistance when inserting/turning the key. it will turn back and forth, but will not lock/unlock the door.

any idea on a DIY? do i need to remove the interior door panel to access the lock mechanism? costs, etc.?
