Default I need your opinions!

I am looking at purchasing a 2002 996 C2 Coupe for a daily driver. (No I am not selling my Boxster, it will remain my garage queen!)

The good news is the car is Porsche certified.......the bad news is I just found out it had the RMS replaced 100 miles ago.

For those of you that have had this problem (and those that have not, feel free to chime in).........would you still do the deal or wait for a car with a "dry" RMS? How often do these replacements turn into "Multiple events" or Engine replacements?

Let me know what you guys and gals think!

More info!!!!

I just spoke with the seller.........it is NOT the RMS that was replaced, it is the "Front Crank" seal.

Have any of you heard of this? How big a problem is this?

Thanks in advance!!!

IMO, its not that big of a problem. Ive only seen a couple of them at the dealership and to me the Boxsters are a bigger PIA to replace due to the lack of room...
I dont think its really that much of an issue compared to RMS's.
Honestly I wouldnt worry about it..Ive not seen any front crank seals warrant a new engine. We dont even do any measurements like we do on RMS leaks...
