Hmmm.......I've bought cars for worse reasons...!!!
No. I considered the 993 when I was getting rid of the 964. The problem is that they are not significantly advanced compared to the 964 and they are more expensive than the 996.
I was looking for a 996 when I was made an offer I couldn't refuse on the boxster.
So now I'm a boxster driver and enjoying it.
Frankfurt to Heidelberg last night at consistent speeds of 200 to 230 km/hr (120 to 130mph?) the car is comfortable and secure, and the driver is happy (and legal).
