Smile CDR - 220 Porsche radio

I recently purchased my 2000 Porsche Boxter "S".
I have read the owners manual for the radio but I can not understand how to increase the speaker volume with increase in speed. I was told by the Porsche dealer, this is possible and is done automatically by the radio. Can anyone clarify this for me? Thank you for any assistance.

I don't think you have to "do" anything. I think it just works. At least mine does.

Look in the manual under "User Menu" and then "GAL setting"
It is possible to change the programming for different levels of volume change.

I want to thank those of you that took your time to answer my inquiry about making the GAL feature work on my CDR-220 radio. I will try your advice when the weather shuts off the lousy rain here.
Sincerely,
J.VanGelder
