http://www.t-t-p.de/english/986.php.
this car is faster than a slightly modified 996 TT.
it has around mid 13 the 125 miles/hours.....
had this car for a week, from a friend of mine and must say
it was
F A S T !!!!!
but it did cost much....around 45.000 euros.....+ brakes...wheels...+ reinforced gearbox...+++++ etc....
concerning reliabillity, he had the car for 2 years...nothing happend more than the required service intervals....
my opinion is that the best you can do, having in mind the value for money mod, is to swap your engine with a 996 3.4.
www.autofarm.co.uk, an oxford U.K porsche specialist did one 3 years ago for around 12.000 pounds sterling....
easy...cheap...and fast....very very very reliable compare to turbo mod....
have seen a 2,5 boxster almost naked, with a 996 3.4 engine, in a track...he had the lap record of the day....
it is up to you...

I hear that Ruf will be offering a 3.4L supercharger kit, which is finishing development soon. It would be interesting to know whether the 3.4L supercharged engine will fit the boxster

Ruf + supercharger........
Ruf + twin turbos.....
Ruf builts his owns car. he takes bare shells from factory and builts up his car. if you have a closer look on the bonnets of his cars you can find the logo RUF. nowere there is a porsche logo....
as well as he modifies already porsches.....
having this in mind as well as he has been producing cars for years now, mostly turbos....(and this is why he is well known....) i found it very difficult to start producing cars with supercharger....
Ruf though will be shortly "release" the production of his own car......no affliation with porsche at all...
it will be at the size of boxster...a bit bigger to be precise. coupe. with twin turbo engine....and will fit between the performance gap of 996 TT an CGT
