Default Water "drain" question

I've done a search but cant find any info on this anywhere.

I have a '99 Boxster and we've had some heavy rain lately and I noticed the passengers floor carpet has been wet. Only on the bottom and not on the sides leading to it. I did some investigating and if I put the the top slightly down I notice theres a "well" behind the passengers seat that is filling up with water.

Is there supposed to be some sort of drain that lets the water run out of this area that might be clogged somehow? I looked around on both sides but cant really find anything. Or is there a leak someplace thats allowing water to get into this area when it shouldnt be? The area is where the top folds down into.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

There is a drain on each side under the top and the drains get cloged with leaves and stuff. You need to put the top in the service position to clear the drains.
