Hey guys,

I am looking to purchase a 2001 triple black boxster. I have seen interior pics of a few boxsters that have the Porsche crest on the headrest part of the front seats, but only on 1 or 2 Boxsters and not a 2001.

Was this only available to certain years?

Was it an upgraded option that very few people took?

It sounds like something that came on a "sport seat" and not the regular seats. (?) I could be wrong of course, but I don't recall seeing any "normal" seats with the crests.

I could be wrong, but think it was an option for any type seat......regular or sport. Shows to be option code "XSC" for the 2004 model with a price of $220. Not too many people took it, but I have seen a few with it.......

I have them on mine. They were a standalone option, as were the colored crests in the wheels, etc. Nice touch but the effect for the cost is questionable.

Difference Engine

We end up ordering them on probably 90% of the cars we sell. People here seem to like the little details like the headrest crests and the coloured wheel centers.

And MikeN is right. Option XSC is for the headrest crests. $290CDN on all Boxster and 996 models.
