Default Looking for valuation for OEM 99 986 bumper cover take-off

Friend in L.A. has owned 99 Boxter for 4 years and is now moving to Hawaii.
PO of car up in San Fran replaced OEM nose with Factory GT2 equipment back when new, but gave orignal bumper cover to current owner/friend with cars sale. Move to Hawaii prohibits taking the orig. cover, so it must go up for sale.
Nose is dadgone close to immaculate, but I'm looking to give the owner a ballpark price so he can at least begin to list the item. Classifieds on Rennlist had nothing to compare. I'm over in the 944 camp so am unaware of what a new piece from the dealer goes for. Color BTW is silver (exact 986 paint code unknown yet)
Any and all help appreciated.
Thanks.

New unpainted from "the factory" will run you about $550 - $600. Then factor in the painting...probably another $400 - $500. (I know this because I've recently done this to my Boxster....although I updated to an '03 nose.) Typically when selling used parts I start at half the price for new and work from there. So $300 -$500 is probably about it.

Keep an eye on eBay as well for comparisons. I shopped there for a while and could have gotten a good bargain, but none were in very good shape. But most were going for under $300.

Hope this helps?
