I bought a 2002 Boxster recently, and there have been a few issues that've come up since I started working on it, one of them being the frunk latch isn't working. At first, I thought it was the actuator, so I replaced that and tested it with the lid up, however it didn't move so my hood is loose, and I can get in using the red lever, it just won't lock and has room to wiggle. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Bump, I have the same issue - have replaced frunk switch, frunk actuator, frunk latch assembly, still no dice. Actuator works when emergency latch inside the frunk is pulled too which is annoying.

 

Mine I have to try pulling the frunk switch /button on the driver seat side multiple times and it might ope, but with the key fob button, it opens every time, so the switch might be the issue on my car.
