Question Changing gearshift easy?

I just purchased a factory upgraded gearshift for my '99 Boxster and will be changing it out this weekend. It looks quite simple...it appears to be held in merely with clips at the base and a friction fit over the "stick". Is there anything I'm missing? I just want to be sure when I remove the current one, I don't break anything in prying it out.

Thanks!

Are you talking about a gearshift ****? If so, just pull gently around the sides to pop the clips off and pull off the old ****. Some new ***** have a set screw, so you may have to tighten that.
