Going to look at a std boxter and an S. It appears I can get about 4k off msrp on the boxter and 5k off msrp on the S. Financially it will be tough to afford the S but I am going to drive both back to back and try to make an unbiased opinion. I almost had a special edition boxter lined up but it's just out of reach financially by about 6-8k. The payment is just too high...

Anyway we will see how it goes and I will report back. I will say this though. I NEVER leave my Porsches bone stock, so the 550 Boxter is better left completely stock anyway (I'm trying to look on the bright side).

You will be happy, no matter which you get. Don't stretch yourself financially so you can have play money for the new toy...

first of all, you can probably get 10K off any boxster at least in this market,

and secondly, your already stretched too far financially if 6k (Financed!!! thats only 100$ extra a month) is too much for you. consider buying used.
