Default Any ideas where I could get a used Immobilizer Control Unit?

I bought a 2002 Boxster with a five speed transmission. The car has about 70k miles on it and was always maintained well but does not start because the Immobilizer Control Unit got wet and shorted out.

Dealers want $1,300. I'm looking for a used one. I have bought one already but it not the correct one, which I knew, but the car does not start. I already put power on the stater and the motor turns freely. The previous owner told me that there a noise in the rear that is rev dependent. He thinks it is a loose part in the exhaust. I might need one of those too.

Is there a dismantler who specializes in 986?
