Default Canbus for race prepped Boxster

Hi,

I'm doing some serious rebuilding of my Boxster to run it as dedicated track racer. As I've stripped out all the wiring and changing to a PDM setup I wanted to get access to the Boxster/Bosch can bus from the original ABS so I get wheel speed signals out.

Does any one here have a DBC file or previous experience of interacting with the original Porsche 986 ABS?

If I recall correctly the wheel speed sensor data on the 986/996 ABS is not CANBUS. I believe it is analog actually. I am not sure this is possible, you may need to install a motorsport ABS like a Bosch M5 (which probably costs more than your Boxster). I actually think this data is not logged on Porsches until the mid 2010s-on.

Here is some info: https://rennlist.com/forums/racing-a...peed-data.html

This unit claims it can get data from CAN, but not sure if it would work: https://sirhclabs.com/product/can-bu...rpm-interface/
