Default start up problem
My '02 S was running fine until the other day. Upon start up I heard a loud popping noise from the air inlet and the engine would not rev past about a thousand rpm. Shut down and it ran perfectly upon restart. Twice in two days. Cold start booth times. TIA

Sounds like you should check to see if there are any codes.

You may have to live with it until whatever is malfunctioning fails or causes a code to generate.
