Default Way to check vehicle options from VIN?

Does anyone know of a web site to plug in a VIN and get the vehicles original options?
Thanks,
T

Eh, I dont believe the VIN # would give you that

Option codes are usually on a sticker or in the owners manual

Well if you have a Boxster (this is the Boxster forum, after all) you can find the option sticker under the front boot lid. Write down all those numbers and use this site: http://www.kindel.com/Porsche/options.asp to decode them.

Thanks Guys
I figured that each VIN had option codes associated with them on some Porsche data base. I believe you can go to a dealer and get this info but I was hoping you all knew of a public site.

Call PCNA - 1-800-PORSCHE. They can give you options based on VIN.
