Hi friends, lets see if someone call help me out.Base model 97 boxster. No factory door speakers.
previous owner installed amps and door speakers. Great. Alpine unit cda9884 was the single din unit.
New 97 Boxster for me, trying to upgrade the radio to double din.
When i pull apart the radio space i see the previous owner cut the cables and only had these plugged from the Porsche to the unit:

Red/black from the car to the unit yellow
Brown from car to black (Ground)
Orange and white (wired together) to red (Power ignition)
Blue (Remote turn on) to blue

The dilemma comes when I get the wiring harness from the unit (Atoto double din) and I dont know what cables to plug.



The speakers are powered through the amps correct, this is the og unit


Now the new unit wiring seems a bit more complex. I assumed i only needed ground amd power (yellow) to run but doesnt turn on.

here is the diagram… any help will be much appreciated!

Ok this is solved! Had some fuses fried and also ended up taking it to a store.
