Default Cannot get lock actuator bolts off

I have to replace my key cylinder and actuator for my 1999 Boxster, but I can't get those2- @%$^*& bolts off the side of the door.

By now they're stripped. hammered, drilled, impacted, soaked, etc.

Anyone had the same problems, and found a solution? Thanks for your help!

Holy moly man... what did you use to strip those bolts in the first place? Did you use the correct 8mm triple square/XZN socket? Or, did you try just a standard torx and strip it out?

At this point, you might as well bore them completely out. But for goodness sakes, put to heavy duty tape around the bolt area to protect the paint.

Agreed! At least you have a ready made pilot hole already there for you. A fresh, or at least freshly sharpened, drill will be your friend.

Philip, what is the status of this job? Did you get the bolt head bore down and removed?

Looks like Phil's gone. I was going to suggest he buy a padlock for his toolbox and throw the key in a lake, but seemed a bit harsh at the time.
