Brake Pad Damper

Brake Pad Damper
Good evening.
I'm going to do the rear brakes on my 2001 S.
I ordered the rear brake kit (PEL-Boxerer11) from Pelican. There are no brake pad dampers in that kit.
They sell them individually, but you have to choose 30mm (996-352-086-00-M100) OR 28mm (996-352-086-02-OEM).
Anyone have an opinion on which I should go for?
Many thanks.
As a side note, I did remove the pads and discs from that kit and put "Genuine Porsche Parts" ones back in. I know..... stupid???

Replaced front & rear brakes on about a dozen 986 & 996. Haven't put those dampers on any of them and haven't had any issues with any of the cars on the street or track.
That sure is a pretty expensive kit for just the rear brakes. Usually cost me around $100 per axle to do ceramic on these cars and no more then $150 if I do drilled rotors.
little tip - brake pad sensors....cut the wire about 1" from the plug and crimp them together and you wont need to replace the sensors. They just give a visual warning light when your pads get low.
