1) Came up behind a silver '03 (I believe) Boxster this afternoon (3/27/04) near Grove City, PA at the Rt 79 exit (exit 113). I first pulled up behind the Boxster intending to go left, but we were actually going right. I was wondering all along, 'is this guy an enthusiast or not?' As my navigator instructed that we actually had to go right, I pulled out and paused a bit...and oh yes we exchanged a brief wave and the acknowledgement of horn signals. SO, just wondering if that was any of you guys on here. What an awesome marquee of cars we own that we acknowledge each other on the open road!


2) You guys have it tough, perhaps tougher than us 924/944/968 guys. In my experience, true driver enthusiast owners of Boxsters are outnumbered by a far greater ratio of status owners than any other Porsche models (for definition of 'status owners', refer to Porsche People ). Therefore, I salute each of you as true defenders of the Porsche-driver-enthusiast faith as loyal Boxster owners!

 

Thanks for the props! Keep the faith, more and more enthusiasts will be buying Boxsters in the years to come. Not unlike the 944 family, once people get over the "whole Porsche thing" they'll realize they're really great cars and terrific bargains in the sports car world.
