Default Oil Cooler Intermediate Plate

Just got me a 2003 Boxster S with a huge oil leak. It seems to be coming from the oil cooler area. When I pulled it off, it did not have the intermediate plate #35. Is this normal? I can't seem to find any information or pictures about the plate during the repair except in parts diagrams. Any help would be appreciated
.

The intermediate plate is only for early 1997 cars.

Non issue for your car not to have it

Might just be the O-rings, I have a 996 oil cooler I'll sell if you want to upgrade.
