i have a 97 base boxster, had engine replaced at 144,000, for ims . with wrecking yard motor by previous owner. supposedly a 2.7.. the engine # is M962065UO3806 cyl head number 9961041072R.. can anyone tell me what year this was and displacement?

Since it starts with M9620, it seems to be a 97-99 engine, 2.5L.
Also, are you sure it's 65U and not 65V? I am looking at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...86/987/981/982) which doesn't show a U but does a V, the 1997 engine.
