My headlights are intermittent they have begun to not come on but after 20 mins or so come on, also main beam doesn't come on unless in pulling stalk as per flash mode.

More info is needed. Year of car helps and whether you have halogens or Litronic headlights. Problems can range from ignition switch to light switch to various connectors all the way to the headlights themselves.

Completely different animal, but my old Dodge Ram had intermittent lighting issues when I bought it. Took me a while to figure out it was due to a bad chassis ground. I removed it and clean the ground wire and the metal on the chassis with a wire brush attachment for my drill. Worked perfectly afterwards.

Had this same problem. The multipin connector as well as the individual light connections had built-up corrosion on the terminals. Purchased CRC electrical cleaner and clean every contact and it worked perfectly again.

Well, for the first time since I bought my car, tonight the headlights didn't turn on when I switched on the lights. High beams didn't work either. It was about 45 seconds after switching on before the lights switched on. They worked great after that. Heck, they worked every time I've tried to use them before this too, so it was a real surprise, and a fraught 45 seconds.

So, thanks for the hint to check out connectors and grounds. I've got to study up on the circuits.
