Bcrdukes,
The seats are very comfy. Mine have heat too. My seats were modified for a 5 point belt also. I love them on track. As I am older in and out of the car is good.

Hi Van914,

Thanks for the update!

If you would do this all over again, which bracket / mounts would you recommend?

Has anyone tried the Recaro Porsche adapter rails? They supposedly fit 986/996/987/997.

https://www.stableenergies.com/Recar...-P/2616%2CLFT/

These Recaro adapter bracket kits are specific to your vehicle. The kit includes all of the necassary hardware needed to install a bottom mount Recaro seat to your Porsche. Also allows you to retain the stock seatbelt.

REC-BKT-2616 (Left/Driver Side) - [Recaro # 86.26.16]

REC-BKT-2626 (Right/Passenger Side) - [Recaro # 86.26.26]

Fits: 996/997/Boxster/Cayman

997 and Cayman‘s Require Additional Belt Holder‘s [Recaro # 721153.1/2]

Thanks for sharing that. Looks to be a clean and (hopefully) painless setup. I believe BBi Autosport and Cantrell Motorsports offers something similar.

Could anybody comment on how the sportster heating wiring connects to the stock harness under the seat (assuming the stock seats had the heating function)? is it just plug and play? I want these, but don’t want to lose the heating function on the stock seats…

Thought I'd bring this back to help you out....but you would have to use the switches and then custom wiring. I'm actually thinking of installing Sportsers and doing this myself.
