Found my car. 2003 Boxster, 71K, upgrade exhaust.
As long as the PPI comes back okay, I will have it in a couple weeks!

Hope the PPI notes that it’s missing the wind stops that fit into the roll bar hoops. Silly design, because when you recline the seats back, it pops the wind stop out and over the back of the car. I’ve had to replace one of mine and for a piece of plastic, there not cheap. See if the owner has them.
Nice looking Boxster. Color’s great. Hope the PPI goes well.
Tony

Make darn well sure it is the car she wants. No amount of you wanting it for her or your test driving it is a substitute for her choice in the matter.

We have a 2003 S with 6 speed transmission. You Only get a 5 speed in the non-S. We’ve had the IMS updated although the original was in as new condition. I’d also look for heated seats. The heater is great but the heated seats gives you instant gratification. If you want to buy a clean Ca. car, fly out and drive back. We hardly drive ours as it is one of 5 cars and 4 are Porsche’s. $11,000. Firm with around 75K miles. Seal Grey metallic with black leather interior.
They’re great long distance touring cars. Having two trunks affords you a lot of storage.
good luck with your search,
Tony
I’m interested!

Default 03 S sold

Sorry, my brother-in-law has always loved our Boxster and drove it when visiting. The car is on its way to Anchorage, Alaska to enjoy a pampered life. Due to Global Warming, they feel they can get more good weather drive time than ever before!

Congrats Tony, especially to your Bro-in-law!! I wish I’d beat him to the punch. Geez, it was local to my son whom I’m looking to get him into one. Timing is everything sometimes.
Well, if any other Boxster owners out there willing to let go theirs, please PM.
Sorry to hijack this thread, looks like OP got a nice one!!

All day comfortable, surprisingly economical just rolling along, puts a huge grin on my face every time I flick it into a curve, and makes a great noise. And V always wanted a Porsche. Hard to see any down sides to the 3.2, extra gear, heated seats and 60k fewer miles but the Pacific is in the way and the steering wheel would be on the wrong side so I won't try to gazump the OP.

Could be just my prejudice, or it could be that the one I drove was a 2.5, but I'd avoid the tiptronic. It's a good auto-box for its era, but for me it rather blunted both the performance and my feeling of engagement with the car. YMMV, but unless you're buying a manual anyway best to try both first?
Tiptronic steals about 8% more power than manual trans.
