Default Spring cleanup. To clay or not to clay?

If I read this right, here is the order:

wash
clay
polish
wax

What could clay possibly do that a random orbital and polish couldn't do?

How do you guys refresh your older paint jobs?

The clay will lift embedded particles and dirt out of the paint so that you aren't swirling them into the paint with the RO while polishing.

Yes, just do it. You'll be amazed at the smoother finish after you're done!
