Lightbulb Boxster Ashtray Cup Holder

I recently removed my cup holders in order to install a double din stereo and needed to find a new way to store a drink. I saw some threads about 3D printed ashtray cup holders but it seems like the stl files got removed. I took it upon myself to design my own based off of pictures and plan on printing it this weekend, check it out

*edit*
just printed out first prototype. need to make some adjustments but overall i like it so far. see second photo

IMHO make the round part taller if you don't want it tipping over and trashing those switches.

The design is a lot taller than that, didn’t do a complete height print so I didn’t waste filament and to make sure everything fit/aligned first

If you've got fit and alignment squared away, figuratively speaking, you're going to work on polishing that piece up so it looks stock, correct? I like, so far... but the texture/appearance/presentation needs to be improved. Keep it up!

Yes, I did a rough print at first but next version will be sanded, painted.

And... maybe bump back the Porsche letters so the part doesn't hit the window buttons.

Great job! What will be your asking price??

Thanks, haven’t really thought about a price because I feel like there’s a lot of work left to make it better. Definitely would be cool to sell to the people who are interested!

Sorry for the necro, but any chance you decided to sell/publish this design? Would love to try print one for a friend, whose ashtray I cannot currently go measure

I am trying to install the PCCM+ (we'll see, I'm MY2002, analog, still not working). But planning to lose the cupholders above the CR-220...

Thanks!

just go to thingiverse and find it, there are sponsors there that you can pay to print this and ship to you.
