Just putting the finishing touches of long term engine swapon my 986 2002 S
Have learned a ton and am super comfortable with working on this great machine.
Question is..... what is this sheet metal "left over".... yeah got a few nuts and bolts too.

Killed two birds with one stone with this answer!!!!
Heat shield position could not be clearer and BONUS!!.... the backup light connection.
This is the last bit of wiring harness that was a mystery.... had to swap my manual harness to this
tiptronic engine
and over the months this project took the little grey cells lost track of a few memories.
Thank to all fo help on this project, will be adding coolant and topping off power steering fluid today.
State inspection next week..... Fall driving ahead!
