I am buying a 2010 Boxster S from a seller in the San Rafael Ca. area and would like to get a PPI done in that area prior to finishing the transaction. Any recommendations for a shop in that area? The car has 52,000 miles on it and seller has had Hi Tech in Santa Rosa some repair work on it. We are looking for a shop closer to San Rafael.

Any general advice to add about purchase precautions? This will be our 2nd Boxster S. The first one was a 2000 model that developed a cracked head lat 103k miles last November. Had to sell it for salvage. My wife and I miss the feeling of driving a Boxster .

 

Do you mean "Hi-Tec" in San Rafael, CA serviced the car? They're a very thorough shop so I'd recommend them for a PPI if they weren't the main servicer of the car. If you want another indy shop that knows these cars well, try S-Car-Go. They are also in San Rafael and right down the block (well a few blocks) from Hi-Tec.

 

The car is really closer to Santa Rosa and we decided on De Jung Motorsport in Cotati. From what i read about his shop we are lucky to have him close by.
