Here you go on ebay. The seller is not sure what he has but from the engine code it is a 2001 3.4 e-gas motor.

the one you showed there is a 3.6 and to the best of my knowladge, the 3.6 is a much bigger job to put into the boxster. The engnine was removed from a car with a front end collision, the engine come in perfect condition or your money back. It is on ebay right now.....

The ebay links are not working and I cannot figure out why not. The item number for the engine is 2457531256 and the transmission is 2457683014. The seller of both is the same.
The 3.4 was from 1998-2001. The 3.6 started in 2002 with the 996 facelift. The engine code listed on ebay M96.04 is a 2001 3.4. On the other hand the engine code for a 2002 3.6 is M96.03. The transmission code listed on ebay G96.00 is a 2001 3.4. On the other hand the transmission code for a 2002 3.6 is G96.01.
Sounds like a 2001 3.4 engine and transmission to me. 2001 has e-gas if you want to put it in a 2.5 Boxster, but they say there is a solution.
