I wanted to post back my install. This steering wheel extension is fantastic for taller folks that have issues with leg space at the bottom of the steering wheel as well as proper sitting position with the steering wheel. Here are some pics, though not great shots, giving you the idea. The part is CNC'ed from a solid block of aluminum with the spline a very nice steel piece. The install was pretty straight forward though I had my shop do it. It is really a nice looking piece in personal and performance great! All totaled, the cost was $326 from Italy shipping included. A great price or CNC piece like this.

Here is the piece installed:

Interesting. How tall are you? I'm 6'4" with a 36" inseam. I can just fit in my 2.5 but there's no way I could fit a cage so racing is out for me.

6'3" with a 35" inseam . I would not be able to fit a cage in this Boxster and actual stay below the top either. My 911 I could but I lowered the seat some 4 inches in the car.

Thanks for the reply. I had a Cobra RSR seat modified in my 964 to drop the rear of the seat inside the rails and I can wear a helmet in that without hitting the roof. The Boxster is more problematic. It looks like it will remain a road trip car.

Hi, I've just installed a similar one but I'm getting a scratching noise whenever I turn the wheel. Have you had the same problem? Thanks. BR Igor Guerra
