Boxster S smoking tires (pic)
See this link from our last track-day here in Oman. It's in fact on a go-kart track, with some very tight corners - but it's the only track we've got here! There are two great consecutive pics of a Lapis blue Boxster S burning some rubber. Click on them to view them on full screen.
On the last pic, showing the winners: Emad who is the guy closest, is a 18-year old who drove his '97 Boxster to 3rd overall. The winner is a CEO of a large company, who won in his 996 TT.
Isn't this the beauty of Porsche meets!
Enjoy!

That is outstanding! I would hate to hit one of those little tire walls! What kind of speeds do you get up too? Thanks fo the great pictures. Best wishes - Jay Gratton

Hi Jay,
since this is a very tight track (and the only one we've got), speeds are low - only up to about 55-60 mph or so on the "straight" (which is not very long!). So burning off some rubber is relatively safe!
All the best,
Kolbjorn.

What a cool idea...an autoX on a go-cart track. My biggest complaint about autoXing in general is the lack of true roads to pick a line from (the cones can be damn confusing to me). Here, you get more of a racetrack feel...but at autoX speeds which should be much safer. Very cool!
