Default Setting up Durametric for 986

If this is covered elsewhere, please move and my apologies.
I am setting up a Durametric for my 01 986 Base for the first time and I'm presented with a choice and I don't know where to find the info. Hoping you can help.
This car has PSM.

under DSC/ABS choices are:
ABS/DSC/PSM 5.3 for 1997-2001
ABS/DSC/PSM 5.7 for 2001-2004

Thanks in advance!

What is your version of Durametric Software?
I also have a 2001, (with PSM) ..but never had this ambiguous question !
(True that mine is an "S", but ignore if this make that difference !)

If I recall on my 996, you can pick one or the other, and depending on luck of the draw, one or the other will display the details. It's been a while, so I may be wrong.

That may be an anomaly in the Durametric software. My reference book states that PSM 5.3 was phased out in 2000 and PSM 5.7 started the same year. Therefore, it's my best bet you have the newer 5.7 system. This problem has my curiosity. The PSM system information should show up in the Durametric when it reads the ECU. Did you select the information section in Durametric and see what it displayed?

Back on the subject, ..as I just got sometime an ABS error.
I use to have on my durametric 5.3 from ** to 2000 and 5.7 from 2001 and on.
Having a durametric "communication error", I call the customer service. First initiative was to update to latest version, which I did.
Then, when setting up, now the "cut" between 5.3 to 5.7 is ambiguous as it is xx to 2001 for 5.3 and ..2001 t0 xx for 5.7 !

Do anybody know a way to know if one have ABS version 5.3 or 5.7 in a sure way for a 2001 car ??
