LED Tail Lights

LED Tail Lights
I just bought a 2001 Base and it has LED Taillight assemblies on it. The drivers side doesn’t work well, but has good voltages coming from the car harness. SO I need new LED assemblies or the OEM housing with the bulb holder setup as it isn’t there. Do any of you have a good LED replacement recommendation or do I just bite the bullet and spend $500+ for the new OEM housings and bulb holders? Thanks in advance

I replaced my incandescent bulbs with LED's. There isn't a special housing for LED's, They plug in the same way the old bulbs did. All of the contacts have to be clean and corrosion free. You can check the grounds with a multimeter, but generally if all the other lights work, the ground is okay. The other place your ground may be fubar is on the trunk front bulkhead, corrosion or a loose nut will screw up the lighting, and bunches of engine systems, too. Amazon sells all the bulbs you'd need to convert all the exterior lights to LED. Decent prices, too.
BTW, you may have burned out elements in your LED's. If the previous owner destroyed the light holder assemblies, look to Ebay, junkyards, or some of the salvage parts sellers on the forums. You don't need to buy new for an 18 year old car.
