986 Starter Wiring Problem
So I know that I screwed up not labeling the wires. I e-mailed Pelican Parts, they could not help, I looked though the forms here and could not find any help so here I am posting.
As you know the starter on my Boxster has three wires to the starter. One of the wires is keyed so I know where that goes. The problem is I did not mark the installation location of the other two wires.
These two wires are a short one that come from the front of the engine bay whereas the long one comes for the passenger side of the car. Looking from the back of the car forward from left to right on the available terminals which wire goes to which terminal.
If I get the wires backwards what would the result be when I try to start the car? Will it do nothing, burn of the new starter, runs backwards, etc?
Thanks for the help.

The big one from the front goes to the hot lug on the starter. The big one from the side goes to one of the mounting bolts for the starter (a ground wire.) The thin wires from the harness go to the solenoid.
