To compliment the changes in the engine compartment, id like to put a "3.4S" badge where "boxster" was. Anybody know who is making custom badges or any other sugestions.

Difference Engine

We had a local shop make an "X50" badge for a customer. Looks fairly close to the factory scripting. Try your yellow pages under "metal fabrication" or talk to local bodyshops that deal with hot rods and stuff. Should be able to help you out.

Boxster 3.4

After my 3.4 swap I tried to find one of these also. No luck.

I even we so far as to try and combine parts of other Porsche OEM logo's ("3." from a 3.6 993 and a "4s" from a carrera 4s) but could not get one that looked right in the end.

I'd buy one if you find someone that can do them well.

Why not just use a "Carrera" badge, since you'll have a Carrera motor in it?

if you want to use all factory scripts, it will be difficult to get "3.4S"

however, you can always use a combination of existing current generation scripts. such as Boxster and GT (from either carrera GT or GT2/3)

i say hold out for 3.4 S. have it made for you. Obvioisly the 944 text isn't the kind of 4 you want, either is the 924 text.

maybe look for an "updated" 914 or 944 text somewhere on the internet.

I'd get it custom made - use the same font that Porsche uses.

I wouldn't put "carrera" on there - not if the engine isn't in the rear : )

The 924 CARRERA GT is a FRONT MOUNT water pumper as well as the ORIGIONAL Carrera GT.

What about a "3" from a GT3 and a "4" from Carrera 4 and an S from well several possibilities there. All you would need would be the period...

You are right, and it's a CARRERA GT, not a Boxster S with a 3.4 in it.
