Default powerchip

I was looking at the performance products catalog and they have a powerchip for the boxster for 999.00, which they claimed can increase the hp to 272 and torque to 243. Has anyone tried that and if you have, do you think its worth thre money ? Thanks .

I assume this is for the "S"
Do they have one for the base and if so, what do they claim about it?

Yes this is for the S. For the 2.5, they said it'll bump output from 201hp to 219 and torque from 181 to 197. As for the 2.7 2000-2002 it is from 217/192 to 236/207 and 2003-04 it will be from 228/192 to 248/207. Anyone tried their products ?

Wouldn't trust it. The best peformance chip is TTP,which is done by ECU guru Guenther from Germany. Contact Paris Audio,porschetunes@aol.com Along with intake and headers, its gives you 30 dyno proven HP. By itself around 6-12 HP depending on the engine. EVO (GIAC) would be second best which is a genric chip from TTP. For more info do a search on PPBB.

TTP seems to offer some impressive upgrades for the S - anyone here have upgrade I, II or the twin-turbo conversion?

not gonna happen, as autobahnny pointed out my old S was tuned by Guenther and had the TTP headers and intake and it added just over 30hp at the rear wheels. No way just a chip adds 14-22 HP at the CRANK alone, plus I really DOUBT they took and engine out and tested at the crank.

I would want to see 3rd party witnessed dyno results from before and after before I would believe these claims.

A friend of mine just bought a 2.5 Boxster with the TTP twin turbo conversion... (rated at 290 bhp). I didn't see the car running yet...
