OT: 2019 718 Boxster Spyder
I searched this board, plus the 718 board, and the obligatory google search, I cannot find info on our boards on all the Boxster Spyder activity out on the web the last 4-5 days or so (see link below). What is the groups opinion on the following:
1) 2019 Boxster Spyder introduction this summer
2) Availability late this year or early next year
3) flat 6 NA motor (possibly de=tuned GT3 motor)
4) Trans 6 speed manual or PDK

The car running around the ring and filmed on the autobahn doesn’t sound like the 4.0 NA.

Does it sound like a Particulate Filtered and Detuned engine?

At least the GT4 needs to be unveiled sooner because of homologation and GT4 racing. Rumors in our 718 thread are pointing to private testing starting next month for the CS and several members have already stated they would be there. It sounds like Porsche wants to campaign the new GT4 starting next racing season (starting in January 2019 at the Roar before the 24) so it would follow that the street car would get unveiled later this year for sale soon after because the CS needs to be in the hands of drivers several months in advance.

The car will be delivered ready to lap at the Roar.

PMNA is saying they are delivering the cars to driver AT the Roar? I think that sentence can be interpreted in different ways. Porsche could be saying the car will be ready in time for the roar with that statement. I find it difficult to believe they will deliver cars at the Roar if they want drivers to use that same CS at the race. CS Racers have already said they expect to get their hands on the car at private testing next month, unless that's somehow changed. Maybe the private testing will continue to occur prior to delivery so the drivers can be familiar with the car I suppose. Interesting.

We will have access to see/ touch finished enough version and maybe do a few laps but not take delivery before that. They're sitting in the garage next to the track at Weissach, I saw them.
