Default Stock shocks in So Cal?

Anyone have a stock set of front and rear shocks, springs and hardware sitting around? I need to get mine rebuilt and need to borrow a set to roll the car around on for a few weeks. There’s a case of beer for n it for ya...

Are you doing them yourself? I can rebuild a shock in less than an hour if I have all the parts. I don't know about pulling them off--looks unwieldy, but not impossible. I don't think there's much to be gained by installing temporary components. A lot of work done twice. You could easily do the front pair in a weekend, and the back pair the next.

Some underlying conditions. I use an air impact to remove bolts and nuts and to drive the spring compressor. Specifically, I use the Earthquake brand from HF, Ingersol Rand would be my first choice tho. I borrow the spring compressor kit from Autozone. It really is nice and works really well. You could get a used set from a junkyard, rebuild those, and just swap out the strut assemblies. Then you'd only have to do the actual R&R once.

I have a full setup (springs, struts, sways) from a "97 tiptronic that I pulled off when I put on a m030 suspension. I am in Chicago so shipping would be a bit but if you want it, I would sell it cheap.

Thx-
