Default 2000 Boxster will not crank.

I have a new battery with cleaned posts. I have replaced the ignition switch. Strange part is, car will start if battery cable is disconnected and then replaced. It will start one time only. Nothing from additional attempts. I can undu the battery and reconnect, then car will crank. Could this be the starter relay?

Check the ground connection from the battery.

The negative cable from the battery where it connects with the frame. If its loose or corroded you may have found your problem.
