thats neat and all, but if its worn out (i.e. more than 15mm of movement or badly hotspotted), you just replace it. If you wanna balance it with the clutch after the fact, more power to you.

Hey Guys,

I'm still searching for a car and I have a couple more questions:

1. Someone told me that in 2006 Porsche changed the IMS bearing to a bigger one less prone to failure. Is this information correct?
2. Also, Did Porsche fixed this problem with the 2008 and newer models?

Thanks!

Just like anything else that rotates with the crankshaft, you balance it when new before installing.
